Objective
:
The creation of an Islamic education and Islamic studies institution capable of responding to community needs, particularly the needs of marginalized groups, using an Islamic approach that is gender just, pluralist and democratic in order to point community life in more just and humane directions.
Description of Activities
:
  • Devising syllabuses that incorporate perspectives on gender, women’s rights, democracy and pluralism for the Islamic Education, (PAI), Islamic Economics and Banking (EPI), and al-Ahwal al-Syakhsiyah (Islamic Family Law) (AS) faculties.
  • Improving active learning teaching methods in order to implement the syllabuses of the PAI, EPI, and AS faculties.
  • Increasing the knowledge and understanding of the academic community at ISIF and Fahmina Institute about the relationship between religion and gender, women’s rights, pluralism and democracy.
